Customer portal

The customer portal at teamsdashboard.com/en/portal is the administration interface for your organization. Everything TeamsDashboard sets up for you is managed there by you – no ticket, no waiting.

Who can access the portal? Anyone in your organization – sign in with your own Microsoft 365 account, no administrator role, no approval. Microsoft confirms that the account belongs to your organization; people from other organizations never get in. Employees do not need the portal to see presence: they use the app at teamsdashboard.com/app/.

First visit: activate

After the Microsoft consent (→ Admin onboarding) open the portal. Your sign-in activates your organization's access – for a trial, the 14 days start now. The portal takes you straight to the Contract tab:

Sign the data processing agreement (DPA, Art. 28 GDPR): enter the legal name and the registered address of your company, expand the contract text if you wish, tick the confirmation, click Sign & activate. Duration: about a minute. The contract text is the legally binding German version; an English courtesy translation is available at /en/dpa.
The acceptance is recorded bound to version and hash. The contract document is then available as a PDF in the portal; a confirmation with an evidence link goes to the contract contact address and to the person who accepted.
Open app appears at the top right – from now on the dashboard shows data.

Without a signed DPA, TeamsDashboard does not process presence data: the app then reports “Access denied”, even if consent and license are fine. If the contract text ever changes, the portal asks for a new acceptance.

The tabs at a glance

Groups	Control visibility: the whole organization, one Microsoft 365 group for access and display, or separate groups (who may use the app, who is displayed). You pick groups by searching your directory.
Teams app	Download the ready-made app package for Microsoft Teams – already set to your organization. → Deploy the Teams app

Visibility groups

By default every signed-in person sees the whole organization. For larger or more strictly regulated organizations this can be restricted:

Access group – only members may use TeamsDashboard at all.
Visibility group – only members are displayed.

Both can be the same group or configured separately. Evaluation is done by Microsoft Graph via the GroupMember.Read.All permission you granted during onboarding. Changes take effect the next time the app is loaded.

Branding

Your organization's identifier (derived from the company name) is created automatically on the first portal visit. From then on you can adjust:

Title, login title, and welcome subtitle
Accent color for light and dark mode (hex value, e.g. #0066cc)
Header logo and login logo as PNG, JPG, or WEBP up to 512 KiB
Font from a set of vetted typefaces (the default is Inter)

The tab shows your branded dashboard link in the form https://teamsdashboard.com/app/?tenant=<identifier>. Share this link with your employees; in Microsoft Teams the branding is applied automatically through the Teams package. TeamsDashboard serves all fonts itself – external font services such as Google Fonts are not loaded, for privacy reasons.

Enterprise: your own licensed corporate font (WOFF2 upload in the branding tab), an annual contract by invoice, and a personal contact. Colors, logo, titles, and the branded entry point are already included in the standard plan. → Pricing.

When the license has expired

The portal remains accessible. You see a notice with the expiry date and get to Billing with one click: trials upgrade there directly, invoice customers submit a renewal request, subscription customers maintain their payment details. The configuration tabs are locked until renewal; your settings are preserved.

Frequently asked questions

Can a second person access the portal? Yes – anyone in your organization simply signs in. We confirm important changes (DPA signed, subscription cancelled) by email to the contract contact address; a cancellation can be undone in the portal until the end of the billing period.

I see “No access to the customer portal”. Your organization has not been set up yet (start a trial at teamsdashboard.com/en/trial) or its access is suspended – please get in touch.

How do I get the contract document? Tab Contract, button Contract document (PDF). There you also find the evidence of earlier acceptances – even after the contract has ended.

Can I link directly to a tab? Yes: teamsdashboard.com/en/portal#abrechnung opens billing right after sign-in (likewise #gruppen for groups, #teams, #branding, #vertrag for the contract).
